Following technologies are ruled by us:

A. The SMD technology.

Machines for placing components or pick & place machines.
The brands Fritsch, Euro Placer and Samsung offer a wide choice for customers,
both in terms of flexibility as in terms of capacity.
A common use is to place LED components. Due to the great success in sales,
Smans has always machines in stock.

For screen printing or stencil printing on a board we are working with the
company Asys-Ekra. This company offers a wide range of screen printing machines,
ranging from simple machines to automatic in-line machines with an integrated
inspection system.

After the screen printing process and the placement of the components on the
printed circuit board, this board need to be soldered. To this end there are
two major techniques available, the melting of the solder by hot air (reflow
oven) and the melting of the solder paste in an inert hot vapor (vapor phase).
The technology for convection ovens is brought by the company Ersa and
technology for inert soldering is performed by the firm Asscon.

Double-sided boards cannot  always
be soldered in a single reflowproces. Often, certain components need to be
mounted and soldered later. To this end, selective soldering machines should be
used. This selective soldering technique is brought by the company Ersa. The
soldering is preferably conducted under nitrogen atmosphere. Nitrogen generators
are provided by the company DWT.

After going through the stages of production, the result may be measured using
test equipment. A commonly used test method is called AOI (Automatic Optical
Inspection). This inspection equipment can both be installed line and off line.
The company Vi-Technology is a renowned player when it comes into line
machines. The company Saki is a world player when it comes to bench-top
equipment.
A test in the field of concealed defects can be performed with an X-Ray
machine, supplied by the company Yxlon.
The companies Ersa and Optilia bring an inspection device on the market that
allows to look far below components like BGA’s. The solder quality of the BGA
and other components can be inspected.  This device, called Ersascope found its way to many satisfied
customers.

Some customers want the printed circuit boards to be cleaned after completion
of the various processes, which can be performed in cleaners built by the
company Kolb. Kolb cleaners are suited to clean printed circuit boards,
stencils, silk screens, parts soiled by fluxes and other mechanical parts which
need to be cleaned.

The machines that qualify for a process should be linked to each other by means
of transport (board handling) comprising lifts (Loader, Unloader) and tables
with inspection systems that allow the board to pass all process stations.
These systems are supplied by the company Eunil from Korea.

Outside the artery of automatic processing pcb’s, there are a number of
techniques to facilitate the work on components and boards, including machines
for taping of components supplied by V-Tek, apparatus for cutting printed
circuit boards, provided by CAB, equipment for manual assembly of SMD
components supplied by Fritsch and small cleaning equipment supplied by Ultra
Wave.

B. The classical or trough-hole technology.

This technology is based on components with wires pass through holes in the
board. Soldering takes place at the underside of the printed circuit board.
A mix of both technologies is also possible.

A company called Royonic delivers  assembly
tables with a light spot as a tool to get the right component at the right
place on the board.

The company Olamef supplies component cutting and bending machines
(pre-processing machines) to cut and bend the foothills of the components at
length.

The soldering of these components is performed by wave soldering machines, also
called soldering machines. The company Ersa offers the full range of wave
widths ranging from 125 mm to 500 mm, coupled with the latest techniques of
fluxing and preheating PCB’s. Nitrogen is frequently used to improve the
soldering quality and to reduce the dross, created by the solder wave.

C. The "Repair" technique.

If one or more components on a printed circuit board must be removed because of
component failure or positioning error, the degree of difficulty of this
technique depends on the component and the structure (layout) of the PCB.
It will not surprise you to read that the repair technique is possibly
the most difficult technique because this process can hardly be automated.
The company Ersa has a impressive number of repair equipments on the
market for which a comprehensive process control allow the most difficult
components (BGA, microBGA, Flat Pack, PLCC) to replace in an efficient way.
