The inert gas nitrogen can be produced on-site by use of existing compressed air networks or compressors. The purity produced on-site achieves qualities up to 99,5 %. The nitrogen flow reduces expensive lead-free dross and avoids quality problems in the soldering process. Also maintenance of wave soldering machines could be reduced by less dross. Many companies in Germany already use this technology for soldering process.
